How it works
- Choose what’s on saleA collection, products with a tag, specific products or variants, or the whole store. Gift cards are always left out.
- Set the discountPercent off, an amount off, or a set sale price. Optional .99, .95 or whole-number endings, always rounded down. The original price can show crossed out using the compare-at price.
- Pick the datesStart and end times are in your store’s time zone, including the nights the clocks change.
- Preview, then scheduleSee the current and sale price of every variant before anything in your store changes, on screen or as a spreadsheet. At the start time, sale prices are worked out again from your live prices. Overlapping sales on the same products are caught before they start.
- Saleback does the restPrices change at the start time and go back at the end. If Shopify is busy, Saleback retries, and any sale that needs you is flagged with one button to fix it.

Built so prices come back
- A ledger for every saleEach variant’s price before, during and after, with a plain note for anything that was skipped or kept.
- Your edits winChange a price while a sale is running and Saleback leaves it alone at the end. It reads each price just before restoring it, and only restores what it set.

Two honest limits: Shopify removes an app’s access the moment it’s uninstalled, so end your sales before you uninstall (if you forget, reinstall within 48 hours and press Restore). And Shopify has no “only if unchanged” price update, so an edit made in the same few seconds that a sale is ending can be overwritten; the ledger shows every price Saleback restored.

Questions
Why not just use Shopify’s own discounts?
Shopify’s automatic discounts and codes take the price down at the cart or checkout, and many themes don’t show a crossed-out price for them on collection or search pages. Saleback changes the real price and fills the compare-at price with the original, so a theme that shows compare-at prices shows the crossed-out original wherever it shows prices. Use Shopify’s discounts for codes, free shipping and buy-X-get-Y; use Saleback to schedule price changes and have them put back.
Does it create discount codes?
No. Saleback changes product prices directly. A checkout discount you run at the same time still applies on top of the sale price.
What if I change a price during a sale?
Your change is kept. Saleback only puts back prices that are still exactly what it set when it checks, moments before restoring. An edit made in those same few seconds can be overwritten.
What about Shopify Markets price lists?
Saleback changes your store’s base prices. Fixed prices on a market’s price list and B2B catalogs aren’t changed.
What does it need access to?
Your products, to read and change prices. Nothing about your customers or orders.
